Then I was impressed by the acting of a non-Irishman in the film, Polish actress Alicja Bachleda, who played the title character. She delivered the lines perfectly and flawlessly, and her acting in the film was as superb as what multi-millionaire actresses do now. Now one must remember that her role in the film was crucial because she holds the key towards the fortunes of both Syracuse (Colin Farrell's character) and Annie, and her love story with Syracuse was one to watch.
There was one problem concerning the film, and that it was some of the scenes were too dark and it's hard to distinguish the characters. I guess they darkened the lighting too much in some of the scenes. Nevertheless, this was one film worth watching.
